Businesses, councils or landowners commit a patch of ground — a car park verge, a roundabout, a field margin. No minimum size. The pledge is free.
📐 We survey and measure
Our team visits the site to measure the exact area, assess soil conditions, and confirm what's already growing there. Every site gets a unique Meadow Code.
🌱 Seed mix is selected and sown
We choose a regionally appropriate wildflower and grass seed mix, prepare the ground, and sow. The right mix matters — a meadow is not just any wild patch.
📅 First year establishment
Year one is mostly about letting the meadow find its feet. We manage cutting timing carefully so wildflowers can set seed and perennials can establish.
🔬 Ecological surveys
From year two onwards, trained volunteers or ecologists conduct pollinator and plant surveys. Results are logged against the Meadow Code and tied to the proof record.
📊 Impact is calculated and published
Area, species count, pollinator visits, estimated carbon and water retention are calculated using published methodologies. Assumptions are documented publicly — nothing is hidden.
🏷️ Square metres go on sale
Verified meadow area is divided into individual square metres. Each one sold funds ongoing management, more surveys, and the next site.
💚 Your square metre is tracked for life
Every purchase is tied to a specific meadow site. Owners see live impact data in their My Meadow dashboard — updated as surveys come in, year after year.

Planting dates, survey results, photos, area measurements — all logged publicly in our Proof of Work timeline. See exactly what has happened at each site, when, and why.
